Background

My current work is providing therapy, evaluations, and testing for children, adults, and families.  I also lead social skills groups for children and teens.  I work in a private group practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

My previous work includes the following:

Team Leader/ Service Coordinator  for a team of psychotherapists specializing in treatment of person's with Personality Disorders.  I was responsible for providing direct clinical case consultation and training for a team of masters level therapists.  I was also the chairman of the Behavior Management Committee which was designed to ensure the least intrusive method of treatment be used in difficult to manage populations. 

Limited Licensed Psychologist for individuals with Dual Diagnoses (Development Disability and Mental Illness).  My primary responsibilities included developing and training group home staff in the implementation of behavioral programs and clinical interventions for persons with dual diagnoses.  I was also responsible for testifying at Probate Court hearings regarding guardianship recommendations. 

Behavior Therapist for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and Borderline Personality Disorder.  I specialized in Anger Management, Clinical Outcome Measures, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Time-Limited Behavior Therapy.

Mental Health Professional.  providing Client Services Management, group and individual therapy to persons diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.  I provided skills training , therapeutic services, and supports coordination using the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Registered Social Worker  providing Intensive Client Services Management to persons with mental illness and chronic homelessness (including engaging them in the mental health treatment process for the first time).  I assessed clinical symptoms and reported possible medication effects to psychiatrists on staff.  I was also responsible for advocacy with landlords, and for providing counseling and educational information to individuals and families. 

Program Assistant responsible for training group home staff in implementation of behavioral procedures and interventions for residents with chronic Schizophrenia.  These individuals were placed in group homes from the Ypsilanti Regional Psychiatric Hospital.

Social Skills for the Adolescent (10-12 year-olds).  Group takes place from 5:45pm until 6:30pm every Tuesday. 

Social Skills for Teens (15-17 year old boys)  Group meets every Wednesday at 5:45pm in Ann Arbor with a start date of August 12th. 

Cost of participation for either group is $50 per session.  Families may be able to obtain full or partial insurance reimbursement, depending on the details of their policy.
